News Sites

Patrons can now access the New York Times. Click HERE and then click “Redeem” when brought to the NYT page. Create an account using an email address and password to access the NYT digital page for three days at a time.

Cape Cod Times provides full-text articles on local news, issues, events, people and much more from current and archived issues of Cape Cod Times. Click the link above, then click No Username or Password, type in BrewsterLadiesLibary, your library card number, and you are all set.

Movies, Music, and TV

Brewster Ladies’ Library card holders can download the free hoopla digital mobile app on their Android or IOS device, or access it via their Roku player or hoopladigital.com. Hoopla Digital is offered at no cost to patrons and can be accessed with a current Brewster library card. To sign up for Hoopla, click HERE.

Learning Resources

Mango Languages is an online language-learning system that can help you learn Spanish, French, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Mandarin Chinese, Greek, Italian, Russian and more. There are over 60 foreign languages available. English as a Second Languages courses are also offered.

The library has compiled a list of virtual museum tours, which can be found HERE.

Library systems throughout Massachusetts have a wide variety of resources to draw upon. The Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners have a range of resources available to everyone HERE.

Massachusetts Center for the Book is no slouch, compiling a list of author readings, local bookstores, and educational courses and tours for all ages. You can find that HERE.

The Office of the Attorney General of Massachusetts has set up a website with information on housing, meals, childcare, and utilities. You can find those and more HERE.
