Ways to Give

Make a Donation

To make a donation of any sort— in memory of someone, in honor of someone, or simply in appreciation—click on the button below to be taken to the Brewster Ladies’ Library Association website.

Your tax-deductible contribution will help support the acquisition of books and periodicals for circulation. It will also support our many and varied program offerings– everything from the weekly the LEGO Club and Summer Reading Program for young people to the Sunday Concert Series and Technology Drop-In Hours for adults—as well as staff development, technology upgrades, museum passes, and several book clubs and speaker series.

The Brewster Ladies’ Library Association (BLLA) is the legal entity that receives financial donations to the library. It is a 501(c)(3) organization governed by a board of directors who are voted into office by the membership. The mission of the BLLA is to approve policies, plans, and budgets that promote the library’s mission and to govern the operation, use, and overall program of library service.

The Brewster Ladies’ Library is the free public library for the Town of Brewster. It is governed by the Association, a private nonprofit corporation, and managed by a board of directors who are elected by the membership of the Association.

The library is funded by both the Town of Brewster and the Association. Your membership at any level – $30, $60, $100, $250, $500 or more – allows the library to expand its collection, increase program offerings for residents of all ages, invest in necessary technology, and remain a “best in class” resource for the residents of Brewster and the Cape.

Planned Giving

Planned Giving offers many unique opportunities for donors. It allows them to leave more to their heirs, to satisfy philanthropic goals, and to retain or increase lifetime income from donated assets. It gives them the ability to reduce or eliminate capital gains taxes, and it allows for the donation of real estate, tangible personal property, and closely held stock.

Leaving a planned gift enables you to leave a legacy that will benefit the community of Brewster by helping the Brewster Ladies’ Library to advance its work and mission. It is recommended that you involve your personal tax or legal advisor during the process.
