How do I obtain a library card?
Visit the Library with a photo ID such as a driver’s license and we will create your CLAMS card while you wait. Online registration is available for a 6 month temporary card at www.clamsnet.org.

How long can I keep a book or movie?
The loan period for most books is two weeks. Books may be renewed for additional loan periods unless reserved by another patron. Movies circulate for one week.

How can I renew a book?
Books may be renewed in person, online www.clamsnet.org or by phone, 508-896-3913. Items will automatically renew up to three times, presuming there are no holds on the item. To reserve or renew a book online through CLAMS, you will need your CLAMS card pin number to set up or access your individual account.

What if my book is overdue?
Items automatically renew up to three times, except for Library of Things items, such as Hot Spots or Board Games. If you do not return an item within a reasonable amount of time, it will be charged to you and you will have to either pay the cost of the item or return it.

What is CLAMS?
The Library is part of the CAPE LIBRARIES AUTOMATED MATERIALS SHARING system, commonly known by its acronym, CLAMS, www.clamsnet.org.

What can I do with CLAMS?

  1. Search the collections of all CLAMS libraries on Cape Cod and the Islands.
  2. Determine the location and availability of items you need.
  3. Reserve items to be delivered to the library of your choice.
  4. Check on the status of items that you have requested, or have on loan.

Can I print at the Library?

Printing, in person or wireless, is $.10 per side for black and white, or $.25 per side for color.

Can I scan or fax?

The library offers a Faxing service, $1 per page, as well as a free Scan to Email service.
