Ways to Give

Old reading roomThe Brewster Ladies' Library serves as the free public library for the Town of Brewster.  While the town funds much of the day-to-day operating expenses of the Library (approximately 75% annually), continuing financial support from individuals and businesses is critical to maintaining the quality of our services and to preserving the Library's role as historic, cultural and educational center in the community.

Brewster Ladies' Library Association Membership

The Association funds a portion of the materials collection and is responsible for the programs, improvement and expansion of the Library building, grounds and equipment.  By paying annual dues, members receive the pride and satisfaction of helping to assure the excellence of the Library and its continued services to the community, as well as participating in electing the Library's Board of Directors.

The Endowment Fund

The purpose of the Endowment Fund is to enhance the capabilities of the Library beyond the services and financial support provided by the Town of Brewster and the Brewster Ladies' Library Association.  This fund was established to provide stability in meeting the Library's ongoing financial needs and to assure its future sustainability.

Annual Fund

An annual fund campaign is conducted among past, present and future donors.  The funds raised are used for the Library's daily operations and, when necessary, capital improvements.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Library continues to rely on the skills and contributions of its many dedicated and talented volunteers.  Currently over 140 volunteers work either on a regular schedule or for special projects or events.  Volunteering is a wonderful way to meet people, make friends, and contribute to the community.
