Internet Use Policy

The Brewster Ladies Library, in keeping with its role as information provider for the public, offers access to the Internet.

The use of the Internet is a privilege, not a right.  It is expected that users will:

Since there is no restriction on the content or quality of the materials available on the Internet, the Library cannot be responsible for what is accessed.  As is the case with all library materials, parents are responsible for what is selected by their children.

However, if a patron deliberately displays a screen with obscene graphics, which is illegal under Massachusetts law, he or she will lose Internet privileges.

It is hoped that these regulations will make the use of library equipment and the Internet a productive and pleasant experience for all Library patrons.
