As part of our 2018 One Book, One Town series, please join us for a lecture and discussion by psychotherapist Margot Stienstra on the importance of literature in a digital age. With references to Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451, Margot will address the pitfalls of turning from books to social media, including reduced attention span, increased superficiality, memory loss, and a heightened disconnect from ourselves and others. Margot Estabrook Stienstra is a part-time resident of the Lower Cape with a private practice in Zurich, Switzerland. As a psychotherapist, she follows in the tradition of Carl Jung, who was most known for his theories on personality, dream analysis, and the collective unconscious. All are welcome.
